The headline reads:

Better access to health insurance: $1 trillion!!!!!

Thats all the author wants you to know in hopes youll skip the story:

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Two key proposals to improve access to health insurance could reduce the ranks of the uninsured but cost $1 trillion over 10 years, according to preliminary estimates released Monday by the Congressional Budget Office.

This really doesnt require much analysis, but simple enough to say I'm pretty incensed. The insurance co's KNOW that 100billion$ is nothing these days. They know the sound of spending 100billion$ will get a gentle shrug from the public, so what is the solution?

MAKE IT A TRILLLLLLLLLLLLION DOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLARS!!!!

Hey folks, We need to eliminate public education! It's gonna cost us 20 TRILLLLION DOLLLLARS ...over the next 200 years.

Here's some simple wikipedia context for 1 trillllllion dollars!:

In 2007, the U.S. spent $2.26 trillion on health care, or $7,439 per person,

so 1 trillion$ for a public option vs. 2.26 trillion$ for a mostly private system?

Can we just start spending 1trillion per year now? and ditch the private system already? surely if 1trillion covers a lot of people within 10 years, then 1 trillion per year would cover everyone multiple times over in 1 year.
