I have been interacting with the 10th'r movement on facebook quite a lot since the HCR bill passed. Mainly to interject some sanity and counterbalance to their rants and raves. However in the past week Ive noticed a worthy trend developing. Jump below the fold...
Recently the 10th'r group Ive been interacting with has taken a decidely wild variation from the typical "no obamacare" meme, to more broad states' rights issues. Today I finally saw that come to a head. These guys are actually getting behind the pro-marijuana-legalization movement.
I do not believe this to be an abberation, I think this could be a trend towards these ultra-right folks finally coming around to support some of our more "left leaning" causes even if they dont realize it. All I want to do is to suggest that we encourage them. When we see this kind of turn for the better, lets support them and get them fired up about it. I always tell people "If Ron paul and Dennis Kucinich both agree on something....then its probably a good idea"
Well lets push that as far it will go, when there are issues we both agree on, we should completely extend our hands out and encourage partnership, we just MIGHT get some things done that the political establishment has refused to do
