The New York Times is now reporting U.S. support of pakistan's military will continue despite It's president's declaration of martial law and rounding up of opposition protestors.
This folks is what our president George W. Bush stands for. This is what he has stood for all along. Like Reagan, and his father before him, the propping up of dictators for political convenience is by and far standard operating procedure.
Two little problems with this guy tho: He has Nukes and his country is hiding Osama Bin Laden.

Im sure some of you might say "why is this news". Its news because it provides intense insight into the mind of the man running our country. He is clearly willing to let the ends justify the means. A lot of us have known this, but I think it sharply brings it into focus in a succinct and calculated way.
I'm not going to particularly complain too much about this though. I think its important to focus on what can be done.
Namely getting Prime Minister Bhutto involved in heavy diplomatic talks. Get our democratic front runners to start talking about alternatives to musharraf. This is one conflict we may NOT be able to avoid. Iran doesnt have a bomb OR Al Qaeda, Pakistan has both, Biden was onpoint about that.
The rest of our candidates need to get on point, and frame this in the media. They need to be saying "Sorry W is wrong about this, we have to take care of this NOW". Republicans havent said shit about this, because they know they have nowhere to go on it.
We have everywhere to go. Id like to see some of our Candidates take a trip over there, and invite the media along. Usurp W via press coverage, treat him as irrelevant on the matter.
That would be showing some leadership
