Health Insurance

This wont be a complicated Diary, I just want to get an idea of what people pay for health insurance (if anything) around here. After it's all said and done this year I will have paid over 20,000$ in medical costs (premiums + copays + drugs + not covered by insurance) for a family of 4. This to me seems a bit ridiculous.

We have weekly doctor's visit's and all sorts of tests and yet I still cant outstrip my premiums. My wife has been in the hospital for a week, multiple ER visits, extremely expensive meds, and still there's no way I catch up to my premium payments.

So answer me, how can insurance companies justify this sort of greed.

Update:thanks for the comments and all the people who responded to the poll, I like constructive criticism, Poll was just quick and dirty while I was in the middle of work :), definately should have included a 'not insured' option as I know a ton of you are in that category.

Either way though, 49 people read my diary? thats cool! :)
